We hope you all had a wonderful Easter break and made the most of the glorious sunshine. A huge thank you goes out to the students and staff who participated in the holiday revision sessions—we were thrilled by the fantastic turnout. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many students finding the sessions incredibly helpful.
This week, our Year 11 students have been taking their Modern Foreign Languages speaking exams. We’re so proud of the maturity and dedication they’ve shown throughout. Both Mr Briscoe and Mrs Benton are extremely pleased with the outcomes—well done to everyone involved!
Looking ahead, the Year 11 GCSE Art exams are scheduled for next week. We wish all participating students the very best of luck—keep up the great work!
On Thursday, our Year 8 students received their HPV vaccinations. For anyone who missed out, there will be a follow-up ‘mop-up session’ on Friday 9 May, which will also include any Year 9 and 10 students still awaiting their vaccination. Parental consent is required, using the code provided by the school nurse vaccination team. If you need any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact reception.
Our first Bikeability session for Year 7 takes place on Tuesday 6 May. With high interest once again this year, we’ve arranged three groups to accommodate everyone. Parents of participating students will have received a separate email with details. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Mrs Lythgoe.
A quick reminder about PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education): This important subject supports students in developing essential knowledge and life skills across a wide range of topics, including relationships, health and wellbeing, and financial education. It’s a key part of our curriculum. You can find out more about what your child will be learning this term here.
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend!
