Head of School's Blog - 13 September 2024
This week I have had the pleasure of leading the assemblies for all year groups on “What's my story” - I have enjoyed sharing with students my journey on how I have become their Head of School.
I am very proud of how our Year 7 students are adjusting to life in secondary school. We are holding our Tutor Evening for year 7 parents/carers next Thursday 19 September from 4.00 pm - 7.00 pm. If you haven’t already booked your appointment using the Arbor App, please do so as this is an excellent opportunity to discuss how your child is settling into Carisbrooke College life. If you have any problems with the Arbor app, please contact donna.keogh@carisbrooke.iow.sch.uk.
Our extra curricular clubs have started this week. A full list of them can be found on our website: School Clubs. Please encourage your child to take advantage of these clubs which range from sports to music and take place during lunchtimes and after school. They are an excellent opportunity for your child to try something new or improve on current skills but most importantly, to have fun with other Carisbrooke students.
On Monday 16 September, students in Years 7 and 11 will have their school photos taken. These photos will be available for parents/carers to purchase and more information will be shared with you next week.
A letter was sent out today regarding our future Staff Development Days. On these days, school will be closed to all students.
Congratulations to our highest achievement point winners last week, Esme Year 7, Ezri Year 8, Jackson Year 9, Billy Year 10 and Amy Year 11.
Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Begley
