We have been blown away by how generous our students have been in signing up to run in our annual Santa Dash to support local Island-based charity - The Wight Brainy Bunch.  

Within two weeks of the entries being open for payment, the 250 spaces were filled, with students waiting for a space to become available should anybody drop out. In addition to this, it was nice to see students simply willing to donate their entries.  

This year, we have raised a staggering £1280 - our highest amount raised from this annual event.  The Carisbrooke Santa Dash is always a great way to end a busy Autumn term, especially after watching the Staff Panto. The 2km fun run involves students donning their Santa hats and running from Carisbrooke College up to the castle and back, which in the current weather conditions we have recently been experiencing, is no small challenge and something they should all be proud of. 

Upon return to Carisbrooke College the runners were rewarded with a well deserved hot chocolate and festive tunes. Thank you to everyone who signed up or was involved in making it happen this year. We were very impressed with the turnout and the way in which our students represented the school, helping to spread some festive cheer in the local community.
